Spotlight: The Singing Glade

Melodora

The area is a natural amphitheater surrounded by ancient, towering trees whose branches are perpetually swayed by a gentle, whispering breeze. These trees are said to be ancient guardians, planted by the earliest wood elves, who infused them with spells that protect and nurture the land.

The floor of the glade is carpeted with a lush, verdant moss that feels soft underfoot, interspersed with myriad wildflowers that bloom in vibrant bursts of color, emitting a sweet, heady fragrance that adds to the glade’s allure. In the center of Melodora stands a large, naturally occurring stone ring, its surface smooth and etched with runes and symbols of ancient origin.

Melodora’s most magical aspect, however, is the perpetual music that fills the air, an ethereal chorus that seems to have no single source. It is believed that the music is the glade’s way of communicating, influenced by the winds and the life energy of the forest. This melody changes with the seasons and the time of day, from joyful and lively tunes during the spring dawn to soothing, somber lullabies at the fall of night.
