Out of the Frying Pan
As the party catches their breath after the intense combat, the stillness of the Gloomwater Pool returns, broken only by the faint flickering of the bio-luminescent algae. Corpses of Skav’s, diseased rats, and pulsating maggots lie scattered across the room. An uneasy silence lingers, but sharp eyes can spot glimmers of potential loot among the slain creatures and their makeshift weapons.

Session Overview:
It's Raining Men... Yannalujah
The session begins with the aftermath of their battle in the Gloomwater Pool, where they recover loot from their defeated foes while navigating the eerie bioluminescent surroundings. Miranth, a tiefling alchemist, offers insights about the alchemical properties of the pool’s algae and the potential dangers lurking in the shadows.
As they move on, the party enters the Shifting Shadows, a disorienting, arcane trap designed to confuse intruders.
Emerging into Whispering Alley, the party encounters a bustling, dangerous underground marketplace teeming with shady characters and illicit dealings. Vorana steers them toward her objective.
The session concludes at Tenebris (The Sip), Yanna’s opulent sanctum, where the party is welcomed with a luxurious yet ominous feast. Yanna’s hospitality hides her true intent, as each dish in the meal is laced with subtle and deadly poisons. As the effects of the poisons take hold, Yanna’s true motives are revealed—she seeks revenge for the party’s interference in her operations. Tension mounts as the party must piece together her betrayal and determine how to survive the escalating danger. The session ends on a cliffhanger, leaving the party to confront both Yanna’s treachery and the encroaching threat of the Arcane Prelature.
I ain't been droppin' no eaves sir
Eilibh begins to grow suspicious of Vorana’s behavior, noticing her subtle interactions with Yanna. Quietly slipping away, Eilibh eavesdrops on a heated conversation between Vorana and Yanna at the door to an inner chamber. During the exchange, Vorana reveals her true intent: she brought the party to Yanna under the guise of safety, planning to have them detained while she escapes with the stolen package she took from Eilibh. This revelation leaves Eilibh stunned but resolute. Returning to the group, she discreetly reports what she overheard, igniting tension as they realize Vorana’s betrayal and the looming danger.
Mission: Improbable
Before the dinner, two of Yanna’s henchmen inform her that someone in the group was responsible for interfering with her heist of the Dark Pearl, the item she had sent her operatives to retrieve. They recount how Duruk noticed a third figure—an accomplice to the ruse staged by the fake High Acolyte Ithan and Raimon the Rhymer—picking pockets during the commotion. This figure was searching for the Dark Pearl, using the distraction created by Ithan and Raimon to complete the theft. However, Duruk’s sharp eye caught the thief in the act, leading him to alert the guards. The heist was disrupted, forcing Ithan, Raimon, and the pickpocket to flee empty-handed. Upon hearing this, Yanna realizes that Duruk not only foiled her plans but also cost her the Dark Pearl, heightening her rage. With her fury now simmering beneath her calculated exterior, Yanna adjusts her plans for the evening, viewing the party as both a threat and a tool for her revenge.
Magic Mike's?...
As the party settles into Yanna‘s opulent sanctum, a curious detail begins to stand out: all of her household servants are men, dressed solely in sarongs or intricately wrapped diapers that leave much of their skin exposed. Their appearances range from statuesque, chiseled figures to weathered, elderly men with deeply wrinkled skin. The contrast is both captivating and unsettling The atmosphere they create feels deliberate, as though Yanna has chosen them not merely for their utility but for the strange and almost ritualistic aesthetic they bring to her domain. Minerva, ever perceptive, finds herself intrigued by the choice, wondering aloud if this is a cultural statement, a symbol of devotion, or some deeper layer of Yanna’s enigmatic power. For all its allure, the sight leaves the party with a lingering sense of unease, as if these servants are more than they appear.
To Live or Die in L.A.
As the poisoned dinner unfolds, Vorana finds herself at a crossroads. Having overheard Yanna’s full plan to incapacitate and possibly eliminate the party, she wrestles with an internal conflict that has been growing since their journey began. On one hand, her original mission to retrieve the stolen package remains paramount—a job she’s done countless times without hesitation or remorse. Yet, traveling with this ragtag group, sharing danger and narrow escapes, has stirred something unfamiliar: a sense of camaraderie and guilt. For the first time, she questions whether her loyalty to the shadowy networks that employ her outweighs the bonds she’s begun to form.
Hungry Like the Wolf
Beyond the shadows of the Undercroft, the relentless Arcane Prelature continues their pursuit. Their search is methodical and calculated, spreading through the labyrinthine corridors and hidden chambers with a cold, unyielding precision. While they have not yet caught up to the party, their presence is an ever-looming threat, marked by the faint echoes of inquisitors’ commands and the flicker of magical wards being deployed to track residual arcane signatures. The party knows it is only a matter of time before the Prelature closes the distance, their resolve fueled by the belief that justice—or retribution—must be served. Every step the party takes feels weighed against the silent chase advancing just out of sight.
